WHAT DO WE BELIEVE?
We believe...• In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth from nothing.
• In the sovereignty and power of Almighty God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
• God revealed Himself throughout history to His people who recorded this revelation in the Bible, but who is ultimately
revealed in the person and work of Jesus Christ.
• All people have sinned - rebelled against God - and are unable to save themselves. Our sin separates us from God and will ultimately bring God's wrath upon us. We all need a Saviour.
• Jesus Christ is God, omnipotent, omniscient, omnipresent. He is Lord and Saviour of all humanity.
• Jesus was a real man who lived amongst us as one of us, identifying with us in every way except sin.
• Jesus died on the cross, paying the death penalty for our sin, was buried for 3 days, was resurrected to life eternally and now reigns over all creation.
• Everyone must be saved by turning to Jesus Christ, accepting His finished work on the cross, and being reconciled to God in personal relationship of love and trust.
• We are saved by faith - trusting what God has done through the death of Jesus -, not by our own effort or diligence.
• The Holy Spirit who lives within us makes the Christian life possible. He gives us the power, strength, motivation and encouragement to obey.
• God in everything, to change from the inside out and the boldness to be witnesses about Jesus.
• In the necessity and importance of the Church for our own growth and the extension of God's Kingdom.
• In God's promise of eternal life, in the second coming of Jesus Christ, and the establishment of His eternal Kingdom.
• In the centrality and authority of the Bible and in the power of prayer.
